Geraldine Brooks once again brings pride and admiration to the women of her audience and the general field of literary artists.  She weaves wonderful fact and fiction tale of history, mystery, passion, love and religious and spiritual beliefs.  Bethia is the voice that attempts to bridge the early settlers and the Native Americans.  I loved it.
