Willow Creek, written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, is the Blair Witch Project of Bigfoot movies. It features some actors you have probably never heard of and includes some jumpy camera work.
The story is based on a couple heading to Willow Creek, which is where the famous Bigfoot footage was taken, so that the boyfriend can create a documentary on the subject.
My expectations were pretty low, but I was pleasantly surprised in the end. If you are a fan of the Blair Witch Project you will probably enjoy this film, though its low budget quality doesn’t quite live up to the Blair Witch, it does have many similar elements from the creepy and sometimes angry, townspeople to the running from something you can’t see in the dark.
It gives you another reason to be creeped out in the woods and when you get to then end, if it leaves you screaming “WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!!?” Google it. It’s worth it to get at least close to an answer.
