Summer Reads from NPR

Whew!  It’s a hot one out there today–there are lots of folks enjoying the library’s AC this morning!

If you’re also beating the heat by staying indoors with a cool drink and the fan running, you probably need something great to read.  NPR has a special feature in their Books section called Summer Books 2011.

They’ve really got something for every taste, from humorous fiction to sci-fi to adventure nonfiction, and just about all in between.  Here’s a sampling of a few of their lists (click on each to get to the site):

Summer’s Biggest, Juiciest Nonfiction Adventures

Mind-Bending Sci-Fi Books for a Fantastical Summer

Laugh Yourself Cool: 5 Funny Books to Beat the Heat

(That last one is probably especially helpful for today!)

The Camden Public Library brings people together to Read, Connect, and Discover. Here at the CPL Readers Corner Blog, our librarians offer book suggestions, book reviews, read-alikes, and more! Discover new reads, Connect with librarians and other readers, and Read a great book!
